Time management training is of great value in relieving negative emotions such as anxiety, stress, depression and so on. Scheduling your day will make your life so much more simple. We all have our own crazy morning schedule, whether its to get to school on time, catch the bus or train, head into the office for an early meeting, sending your kids off to school, preparing for a romantic dinner date... and the list goes on. We can all understand the frustration when it comes to an unscheduled hectic day.

How to solve the problem? Learn to master the skills of prioritizing and managing your time efficiently. These two come hand in hand. Prioritizing daily tasks is key to successful time management. When you prioritize, you make sure you accomplish the most important tasks first.

  1. The first step in managing your time wisely is to create a master list. This list should include everything that needs to get done that day/week/month. If you're running businesses and need to hire a secretary to make sure those lists are complete with all your plans then your first step would be to hire someone.

  2. After you complete the list make sure you determine which tasks are a priority for you. These tasks MUST get done that day!

If you are the ambitious type and working on your success, timing will be your best friend and worst enemy. By this I mean, that as your business succeeds you will be getting busier. Finding time in your day will get harder and learning to manage your time and prioritizing will become mandatory.

Some tips to manage your time wisely:

  1. Wake up early. Personally, this is one of the hardest things for me. I am not a morning person but with that being said, this is where prioritizing comes in. If you need to wake up at 5 a.m so you can workout and get in those extra hours of work set your alarm and keep it at a distance from your bed so you have to get up to turn it off. It all comes down to how important your schedule really is.

  2. Stop wasting time. Keeping busy on the small things won't get you anywhere. There is a big difference between being productive and being busy. Know where you stand and keep a balance.

  3. Schedule. Saving the obvious for last, keeping a well organized planner or calendar on hand is always a good place to start. I personally like to keep all my notes on my phone since I always carry it with me. The app I use is called Keep Notes and that is where I plan my day. (Aside for my Google Calendar that I update on a daily.)

Note: In time, you will learn that even the smallest acts such as keeping a well organized schedule will help you lead a healthy lifestyle, mentally and physically.
