I’m sure all of you have watched most (if not all) movies with the genre of fashion. Like for example, Confessions of A Shopaholic? Well, as Sophie Kinsella said, “I love new clothes. If everyone could just wear new clothes every day, I reckon depression wouldn’t exist anymore.” Or a quote from Miranda Priestly from Devil Wears Prada that goes, “Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.” Yes, it would be humiliating to be given such remarks from THE Miranda Priestly, right?
But what if we could combine these two remarks and be able to make something Miranda Priestly-worthy fashion? I mean, whatever clothes you have in your closet, new or not, can be used to make you pop and shine all so brightly no matter what season of the year it may be.
Below are 10 styling tips for all the fashion-lover out there for this year’s Spring.
1. The Disco Collar.
Yep, you read it right. First in the list is a comeback from Studio 54 era — the disco collar. This fashion style paved its way back in this year’s Spring through the modernized coats, jackets, and button-downs. To pull it off, partner it with contrasting colors for it to inevitably noticeable, because really? What’s the use of that ah-mazing disco collar, right?
Crochet clothes it is, you’re reading it right. I mean, no, having that thought is just putting limits to crochet clothes. Oh, I say yes, it fits better in summer fashion 101, but hey, you got to check out Gabriel Union wearing her crochet dress because O-M-G, she just got out and proved how anyone could pull off such an effortlessly chic outfit it is.
3. Bralettes — Oh, wow!
Say good-bye to crop tops because bralette has just stolen the runway. Bralettes can just fit that chic and just on-the-go OOTD. Pair it with long, pleated trousers and heels, how classy can you get? Want it to be an on-the-go OOTD? Yes, you can still pull that off! Try a bra top paired with sandals and cargo or mom jeans (and maybe add a denim jacket too). Additionally, it can be an OOTD for corporate attire, but you’re aiming for that chic-corporate attire look.
4. Sky-High Side Slits.
This bottom brings out an effortless new wave of sexiness. It can be worn both day or night depending on what pair of footwear you choose to wear with it.
5. The sheer top is walking the runway.
And since fashion designers are embracing that “less is more” vibe, you can show off your bralettes for this see-through sheer top if you are too shy to follow tip #3.
Along with bralettes, corsets also made its way to the runway. This Spring, this clothing style will emphasize defining your silhouette.
7. Bermuda Shorts
Who says you’re not in business when you’re wearing Bermuda shorts, is wrong! Bermuda shorts puts a twist on the classic suit. It’s the next wave of the bike shorts trend!
8. Drawstring Details
Stella McCartney and even Salvatore Ferragamo add drawstring details to their pieces, because why not? Anyone can sport this look!

Vests are coming back this 2020, and they are best for optimal layering.
10. Knit Dresses
There are a lot of ways you can wear a knit dress. Wear it underneath a denim jacket, dress it down with sandals for that I’m-lazy-to-go-out-look, or dress it up with kitten mule heels for an after-work party.
