I gave this topic a lot of research because I constantly lose on sleep and have dark circles under my eyes. Since my research escalated, I've tried a few remedies I read about and the ones your'e about to read has helped me drastically. No one likes a dark ring under their eyes and these all natural remedies will at the bare minimum fade out your dark circles and make you look younger, fresher and more energized.
Rosewater - Rosewater is known for rejuvenating the skin and in more recent times is famous as a skin toner. I bought myself a bottle (they aren't as expensive as I thought they'd be) and I use it daily in the mornings. I have definitely seen a change in my skin and pores and I will never give up on this morning routine!
Aloe Vera - Aloe has a bunch of healthy skin benefits such as leaving you glowing all day. What a lot of people don't know is that it can also be used as a skin toner as it nourishes skin pigments. I like to massage a drop under my eyes before bed and leave it until morning. I also prefer to use the actual aloe plant but in any case, the bottled version will have the same effect.
Cucumber - Cucumber is not a new remedy for under the eye soothing. Cucumber slices is capable of soothing and relaxing your skin and will absolutely do the job with your raccoon eyes:) You can cut slices and place them on your eyes for about an hour. I personally don't have the patience to sit with my eyes closed for 1 hour so I grate them and place a bunch under my eyes which gives me the same effect.
Almond Oil - Almond oil is rich with vitamin E which is beneficial for the skin. I found that with constant use it also leaves your skin soft and silky. After the shower I like to take a few drops and massage it under my eyes and leave it overnight. Do this at least 3 times a week and you'll start seeing your results!
Green Tea - Another benefit of the famous green tea is that you can use the cold tea bags and place them under your eyes to help reduce dark circles. Make sure the tea bags are cold. You don't want to burn your skin using a hot tea bag. To read more about the benefits of green tea click here.
Turmeric – Turmeric effectively reduces the melanin production and resolves hyper-pigmentation. It eliminates the dark circles and dead skin and hydrates when mixed with almond oil. Here's how I do it: Take half spoon turmeric; pour a few drops of almond oil, massage the area under the eye with this mixture. After 15 minutes wash excess with water. I do this about 3 times a week and I've really seen a difference!
Orange peel extract - This is a homemade recipe I use whenever I want to change up my skin care routine. Take the orange peel and let it dry. Once dried, grate them until it turns into powder and mix it with some rosewater. Place this extract under your eyes for about 30 minutes. Add this to your skin care routine and you'll see a dramatic change with your under eyes!
