Being financially secured and financially free from all debt is part of everyone’s dream. I mean, who doesn’t dream about those things? I doubt that there’s one person on earth who would say that (s)he won’t want to be financially free and secured in life.
To be able to achieve this, I agree with Suze Orman, and I will also add commitment. Time and dedication is the key to building financial security. Why? Because one wouldn’t be able to achieve financial security and freedom if (s)he is not committed to doing so. Yes, you might have the time, but you are not committed to making it on time.
Instead of being smart on your money-making decisions, you tend to be lenient and finds a reason to justify your spending too much. That’s not commitment.
One of the money-busting things we do is to spend time with our friends. I’m not against spending time with friends, because I love my friends and I love spending quality time with them. What I mean by them by being money-busting things is that we tend to spend a lot of money to have a great time with them, which shouldn’t be the case.
Real friends would understand and support you in your dreams. That is why I recommend that you’ll be transparent with your friends about how much you can spend money when you go out and have fun.
There are also many fun activities you can do without spending too much, and I’ve listed 10 of them!
Here are 10 fun activities you can do with your friends without breaking the bank.
1. Host a spa day.
Instead of going out to the salon, why not host a spa day at home. Do each other manicures and try out new hairstyles. This way, you’ll be able to have some quality “girl-time” while being beautiful. You’ll enjoy it, and you also saved money on the other hand.
2. Eat home-cooked meals before watching movies or better yet have a movie marathon.
I know going out and watching movies with friends is so much fun! But when you include eating out and watching videos, that’s spending too much. So, why not invite your friends over and eat a home-cooked meal before going out and watching movies. You’re saving money, and you’re being healthy at the same time. Or better yet, log on to Netflix and chill.
3. Have a yard sale.
Want to earn some money with your friends? Why not invite your friends over to and host a yard sale. Combine all the things that you want to sell. You’ll have, and you’re helping each other earn extra income.

4. Watch concerts in the park.
If there are free concerts in your park, watch it with friends and bring a picnic dinner. You’ll be surprised how fun and money-saving this activity is!
5. Board games.
If you are fond of board games, invite your friends over and play Scrabble or Millionaire’s Game. To make it more fun and exciting, hold a tournament and compete against each other!

6. Video games.
And if you’re not into board games, do a video games tournament instead.
7. Go fishing, camping, or hiking
8. Do home workouts with friends.
Instead of going to the gym, which can be expensive, do home workouts with your friends. It’ll be fun, and you’ll encourage each other to be fit and healthy.
9. Look out for free museum and zoo days.
Some public attractions offer an open day at least once a year, or once a week for some cities.
10. Play outside sport.
Why not play basketball or baseball with friends? You’ll not just sweat out but it’ll promote camaraderie too.
The biggest takeaway here is that there are a lot of things you can do that’s fun and won’t even break the bank. It’s all about spending quality time with friends and being committed to achieving your goal of financial security and freedom.
